Olympian David Hearn has been indicted by a DC grand jury on a felony charge related to alleged vandalism at the Washington, DC, Reflecting Pool, Wine Box Jeanine Pirro announced Thursday. Hearn, 67, is accused of ripping out a piece of sealant on the bottom of the Reflecting Pool on June 19th, Pirro said. Pirro said National Park Service employees observed him removing the bottom liner of the pool.
There is no bottom liner.

Olympic canoeist David Hearn departs the Moultrie Courthouse after pleading not guilty to damaging the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool on Thursday. Hearn was indicted on July 2nd on one count of destruction of property of more than $1,000 for allegedly damaging the Reflecting Pool, carrying a maximum penalty of ten years in prison if convicted.
