I have been known to make light of some stupid fiasco that has shut down a major airport because authorities have over-reacted to a fingernail file or something.

I was almost inclined the same way when I first read of the letter #KeithOlbermann received. The short piece in the New York Post was in that vein. I thought it was probably just some stupid viewer who took exception to a broadcast and decided to have some fun with him.

After that initial reaction I immediately reversed direction as I considered that people have died from anthrax mailed to them and this joke was really not any funnier than somebody putting a gun to your head. Until you know it is an unloaded gun the threat is real.

I suspect if somebody sent Rupert Murdoch a “Powder Puff” he would not take it lightly. (That was not a suggestion or a request, so please DO NOT do it!)

I’ve been following this nonsense about #KeithOlbermann getting suspended from MSNBC because he made some political contributions without getting permission from the network.

It is nearly impossible for me to fathom how we got to this point in our society where the very people screaming about the Constitution are disregarding those same rights when it comes to employers and corporations.

#GeorgeOrwell was indeed ahead of his time.

I personally like how a guest on one of their shows on Fox was talking about the tone of political rhetoric and the lady hosting the show was blasting the Democratic Congressman who compared the Repuglican tactics on the health care bill to Nazi propaganda and the guest pointed out that people on that very station said the same things. The lady hosting the show actually looked straight at him and called him a liar. You can find clips from Fox where people were calling Democrats Nazis within 24 hours of her calling him a liar

Keith Olbermann has been fired by Current TV and been replaced with Eliot Spitzer, previously of CNN. Olbermann’s tenure at Current lasted less than a year.

I had an interesting discussion with #KeithOlbermann on Twitter yesterday. Actually it was less a discussion than me pointing out he was wrong and him trying to correct me and then saying, “You lose.”

He was expounding on how the Earps controlled guns in Tombstone, AZ, by collecting them at the city limits. I mentioned a few more pertinent facts such as they were arrested for murder for gunning down that other gang at the OK Corral, that most of the participants of the Earp gang weren’t even officers of the law, and that I thought a gun battle in the middle of town wasn’t the best example of effective gun control.

I don’t think he was pleased. But Hey! I was called a “Loser” by a rich nationally known ex-anchorman of a defunct national network.

I took exception to #JoyannReid’s hateful rhetoric against Bernie and anyone who didn’t worship her idol Hillarity. As a result I rarely paid attention to anything about her. I think she is an elitist who uses her pulpit to belittle others for her personal entertainment and to fan the flames against anyone who resents the way the Dimocrat party is headed.

What gets me going about this latest debacle is the ridiculous assertion that she didn’t say those things and that some hacker must have done it. They may have bamboozled the party faithful with “the Russians did it” meme but this is beyond reason. Even more disturbing to me is that the network backs these outrageous assertions.

I once held MSNBC in high regard. Since the 2016 debacle and the lynching of #AlFranken —— not so much. When they drummed #KeithOlbermann out of the network I began to worry and now I have few doubts.
