The terribly sad aspect of this whole gun control mania is that it is completely ass-backwards. Misguided reporters and politicians fill the air with lament about not keeping guns out of the hands of killers when they should be trying to put guns INTO the hands of citizens so we can defend ourselves. In every instance of mass killings had there been firearms available to the victims or the adults supervising the victims —— there could have been fewer killed. As long as we continue to make it illegal to carry firearms —— only the criminals will have them and the rest of us are sitting ducks unless we disobey the law and chance going to prison for choosing to defend ourselves.
