Tracey returned from her meetings in FORT WAYNE. I picked her up at the Peoria airport and we went to the Cracked Barrel for supper.

She came away with two things. She is never again going to get stuck with a cheap rental car with the suspension and ride of a skateboard.

And secrets. Lots of secrets. So secret I can’t tell you what they are because they are very, very secret. Of course they won’t be a secret for long because people who work together hour after hour really don’t keep secrets too well. So the secrets will get out as they always do and the effect won’t be so much about the content of the secret as the distrust and morale damage done by the lack of trust.

I have never understood why corporate managers think secrets are a good idea. Tracey dislikes this part of her job but she will keep their secrets. Well mostly, she told me.
