Sixty years ago tomorrow, on August 6th, 1965, President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Voting Rights Act. The need for the law was explained in its full title: “An Act to enforce the fifteenth amendment to the Constitution, and for other purposes.”
I read a lot of stuff on the Internets. Not as much as I used to, but still a lot. And more than I post on the Blog. Sadly I’ve noticed a growing lack of retention. I can remember details from fifty years ago, but maybe not what I posted three days ago. I say this because lately I find myself Blogging the same article or meme over again. Old age sucks.
